As a skilled and compassionate Podiatrist, I am committed to a holistic approach with a keen interest in health education and health promotion. I build rapport with patients quickly, enhancing my ability to provide excellent professional clinical care. I am passionate about improving the mobility, independence and quality of life of all patients.
I graduated from the University of Brighton with an honours degree in Podiatry. I am a member of both the Society of Podiatrists and Chiropodists (SCP) and the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). As such I hold recognised qualifications and am governed by strict codes of professional conduct.
Both health promotion and pain management are areas of specialised interest for me and in 2010, I undertook a voluntary placement at a hospital in Nepal, where I was fortunate enough to observe and engage in the work of an outreach group, tackling the effects of stigma in leprosy in remote areas of Nepal.
Through my work as a homecare support worker I have gained extensive experience working in a multitude of settings including residential, day care and respite units.
Predominantly this has been in the field of learning disabilities but I am experienced in the care of elderly service users too. I am currently training with St. Johns ‘Homeless Outreach’ team to provide podiatry services in this field.
